We sell chickens separately if you have your own coop. At Rentachook we sell a crossbreed hen called an Isa Brown. These are renowned for their egg laying (they hold the world record for the most eggs laid by a chook in a year!) and they are placid (get along well with kids and other pets). All birds are sold at 'point of lay' or laying, usually between 18 and 22 weeks old. The chooks have been triple vaccinated and cost $30 per hen.You might also like:

Picked up two chickens today. Great service, very tame chooks. Had to replace two of the four bought elsewhere that started crowing... Don't want to go through that again. These two look like they will fit in with the rest of the menagerie well. Thanks a lot Dave.
BTW good luck in the shit-box rally - maybe we will be there next year. Silvana

Good service I agreee, but you can actually get the chook pens cheaper on e- bay. They are bigger and come with a money back guarentee, and sometimes FREE postage!!! XD

This looks great and the rental option is fantastic. I have one concern - I have two cats who are skilled at catching pigeons. Are cats likely to attack the chooks if they were grazing free range in the yard? Or are chooks able to defend themselves? Cheers.

Just wondering if we need to ring and order chooks, or if we can just call in and buy them?

I'm a recent renter - Love the chooks - fascinating creatures, I got my first egg today - very exciting (actually I got three). Very happy with coop, accessories and especially the girls. Great Service
